Our First Failure, The Tree

Tonight, I began the duct tape tree lesson. It was a perfect process in my mind. Everything was going fine. I meticulously cut the tree out, then relentlessly peeled the excess tape away. When the tape was removed, the tree looked like the picture below.
However, once i began to carefully remove the tree from the cutting board in order to place it on the white tape base, each piece stretched, strained and twisted against every fiber of my will. Readily, the entire project was reduced to the picture below.

However, we will learn from this failure and relentlessly persist in our duct tape endeavors!
